We always want to inform you when we collect data and how we use it. We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that data protection provisions are followed by both ourselves and external service providers we commission.
Based on Article 13 of the Federal Constitution and Switzerland's legal provisions on data protection (Data Protection Act, DPA), everyone has a right to protect their private sphere and to protect their personal data from abuse. We comply with these provisions. Personal data are handled in the strictest confidence and neither sold nor forwarded to third parties (except in relation to provision of our services and in accordance with the provisions of the DPA).
In close collaboration with our hosting provider, we strive to protect the databases, as far as possible, from unauthorised access, damage, misuse or fraud.
On accessing our websites, the following data are stored in logfiles: IP address, date, time, browser request and general information transferred about the operating system and browser. This usage data forms the basis for anonymised statistical evaluation, to identify trends that will help us improve our offer accordingly.
When you access our websites or use our services, you thereby declare that you accept the current version of our Privacy Policy. Should you not agree, access to our websites and services would be prohibited.
PERSONAL DATA
Personal data are information about your identity. This includes, for example, information such as name, address, telephone number and email address. You are not required to disclose personal data to use our website. However, in specific cases, we need your name, address and other information so that we can provide the desired services.
The same applies, for example, to sending information material or goods ordered and answering individual questions. As soon as this is required, we specifically point it out. Furthermore, we only save and process data made available to us voluntarily and, where appropriate, data which we automatically collect when our websites are visited (e.g. your IP address and the name of sites you access, the browser you use and your operating system, date and time of access, search engine used, names of files downloaded).
If you use our services, we generally only collect data needed to provide these services. If we ask you for additional data, this is voluntary information. Personal data is processed exclusively to provide the requested service and to safeguard our own legitimate business interests.
PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA
In general, we use the personal data you have provided to answer your requests, process your orders or give you access to specific information or offers. To maintain the client relationship, we or one of our commissioned service providers may also need to use this personal data to inform you about product ranges or conduct online surveys to better fulfil our clients' requests and requirements.
Of course, we respect it if you do not want to make your personal data available to support the client relationship (particularly for direct marketing or market research purposes). We will neither sell nor otherwise market your personal data to third parties.
USE FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES
We will only collect, process and use the personal data you have provided online for purposes disclosed to you. Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties without your express agreement (apart from in connection with providing our services and in accordance with the DPA provisions).
Collecting personal data and sending it to government institutions and authorities where there is a duty of disclosure only happens within the relevant legislation or as required by a judicial decision. We require our employees and mandated service companies to maintain a duty of confidentiality and adhere to the provisions of the Federal Act on Data Protection (DPA).
